Ad impressions

What is an ad impression?

An Ad impression is counted when a user sees an advertisement on an app or website. Impressions are measured in terms of CPM and eCPM, expanded as Cost Per Mille and Effective Cost Per Mille, where Mille represents a thousand impressions.

How do they matter to publishers and advertisers?

CPM is the revenue that app or website publishers make and eCPM is the amount advertisers are charged per thousand impressions, respectively.

Impressions vs. clicks

Impressions are counted each time an advertisement is displayed on an app or website and is viewed. On the other hand, clicks are when a user clicks on the ad.
