What is CPC or Cost Per Click?

In the CPC or Cost Per Click model, advertisers pay publishers a certain amount for every click the ad receives. CPC is sometimes referred to as PPC or Pay Per Click.

Maximum CPC vs. Actual CPC

Maximum CPC is the maximum amount that advertisers are willing to pay for a click. But the cost involved is usually lesser than the maximum amount, which is called the actual CPC.

CPI is calculated as follows.

CPC = Total advertising cost / Total number of clicks
