Steps to follow for SDK X integration

Let’s get you started with SDK X. Follow this blog as we walk you through our 3 step Sign-Up, Ad Units creation, and Integration onboarding process.

Signup

  • Start by creating an account on PubScale.

  • Sign Up using any of the following options shown (You can either choose to signup via Google or your email id)

  • If you continue with Google → Choose an account to sign-in → The following window opens up-

  • Enter the necessary details - Team/Publisher’s name (unique to yourself), Skype id and phone number - Read GreedyGame's Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Agree to continue - Sign up

  • Verify you account via your email to proceed
  • If you choose to sign up with email → The following window opens

  • Enter the necessary details - Publisher’s Name, Email, Name, Phone Number and Password- Read GreedyGame's Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Agree to continue -Sign up

  • Verify you account via your email to proceed

If you have already created an account, proceed to → Log In

You’re logged in to the SDK X Console! Take a look at SDK X features before starting the integration

Click on ‘Get started’ to begin

Create an Ad Unit

  • Add your first app by clicking on ‘Add app’ option

Add your app and Generate App ID (8-digit numeric code)

  • Select the Operating System - Android or iOS
  • To add the app link, enter the Google Play Store(Android) or App Store(iOS) URL of your app

  • Add rest of the details about the app in the dialog boxes or autofill using the ‘Autofill App Details’

  • Once the app is added, an App id will be assigned to your app


    (It will be used during the integration)

Creating Ad Unit and Ad Unit ID (float-xxxx)

  • Ad Unit is a unique ad placement created on the app
  • Once your app is added, you will be able to see an option to 'Create Ad Unit'

  • Click on the ‘Create Ad Unit’ button on the top right of the page

  • For every unique placement, create an Ad-Unit ID (having a format as 'float-XXXX')

There are 6 ad formats to choose from

  • Banner
  • Native
  • Interstitial
  • App Open
  • Custom (Customize your ads)
  • Rewarded ads

You can choose an ad format as per the placement in your app or get in touch with your account manager.

Naming and Specifications of your Ad Unit

  • Create a name for your selected Ad-Unit
  • Also select the specifications of the unit (e.g. Size-width, height, type)

Note

  • This is applicable for native/custom units.
  • Once the ad unit is created, it would be assigned a unique ad unit id (float-XXX) which will be used in integration

Integrating SDK X on Publisher Application

Click on the ‘Docs’ Button in the navigation bar -

Integration Step 1 :

Add the dependencies section to your app-level-gradle.file as shown:

Integration Step 2 :

Initialise SDK X

Note : Kindly use the App ID(8-digit Number) provided on the SDK X Console

Integration Step 3:

Integrating an Ad Unit
  • Option 1 : Declaring GGAdView in XML
  • Option 2 : Declaring GGAdView dynamically

Integration Step 4:

Loading an Ad -
  • By selecting one of the four Ad Unit containers
  • To load an Ad, ‘loadAd (adloadListener: AdLoadCallback)’

Integration Step 5:

Test ads will show as soon as integration is done successfully.

Starting Live Ads on Ad Units

  • Once your test Ads are running successfully, link your AdMob/AdX/FAN Ad Units to start live ads.

Note - In case, test Ads aren’t showing, contact GreedyGame team at publisher@greedygame.com

  • Click on the corresponding Ad Unit to link a unit as shown:

Link Ad Partner (AdMob/AdX/FAN) by clicking on ‘Link XXXX unit’ (Current Demand Partners available - AdMob, AdX and FAN)

Process to Link Units to start Live Ads

  • Click on ‘Link AdX/AdMob/FAN unit’ to choose your Ad provider
  • Select the ad format of Ad Unit to be linked in the given dialog box

  • Enter the Ad Provider Unit ID in the given dialog box

The procedure to link Demand Units of all demand partners are shown below in the pictures:

1. Linking AdX Unit
2. Linking AdMob Unit
3. Linking a FAN Unit

GOING LIVE

  • Once test ads are visible and the Ad Provider units have been linked, you will be able to see 'Go Live' button activated on your app's home page.

  • Go to your app’s page on SDK X Console and long press the ‘Go Live’ button to start Live Ads.

Live ads are activated in your app now. Our team will start optimising your revenues in few days once we have sufficient traffic on your ad units. For any queries, feel free ot reach out to your Account Manager or mail at publisher@greedygame.com .
